Ingredients

  • 3 Sunbake Hot Cross Buns
  • 2 Eggs
  • 125 ml Milk
  • 10 – 15 ml Cocoa powder
  • Butter for frying
  • 60 ml Nutella

Serve with whipped cream, browned flaked almonds, poached pear slices and chocolate sauce.

Directions

In a wide bowl, beat together egg, milk and cocoa powder. Slice buns in half and dip in egg mixture, allowing the excess liquid to drip off. Cook in a large pan over medium heat until lightly browned, flip and cook the other side. Drain on paper towel. Serve immediately using 3 half buns per stack, layered with Nutella. Top with whipped cream, browned flaked almonds, sliced poached pears and drizzled chocolate sauce.
