Ingredients

  • 10+ slices Sunbake brown
    and/or white bread
  • Various sandwich fillings
     (eg tuna mayonnaise, 
    ham and cheese, cheese
    and tomato, chocolate spread,
    egg mayonnaise)
  • 1 Cucumber
  • Carrot and cherry
    tomatoes for snake features

Directions

Prepare your sandwiches with choice of bread and fillings above.

Cut four rounds from each sandwich using a small plain cookie cutter.

Trim both ends off the cucumber, each measuring about 7cm in length, one for the head and the other for the tail. For the head, make a forked tongue from a strip of carrot and insert into a small slit. Cut ends off two cherry tomatoes and use as eyes, attaching with trimmed toothpicks.

Slice approximately ten 5mm thick slices from remaining cucumber.

Assemble cucumber head, tail and sandwich rounds with cucumber slices in between in a snake shape on a board or platter.

Adjust number of sandwich rounds and cucumber slices to make the snake longer or shorter.
